This is the first of the Tiffany Aching series I've read. It was nice to have a new set of characters to read about. Although I enjoyed it enough it isn't as good as his earlier books. I may read some more of them, I may not.
His earlier work was fantastic and but eventually it petered out and I gave up reading. It just seemed like there was only so much you could get out of one series. I've heard good things about more recent works but haven't read any. Make no mistake, there are a lot of good books there and it's hard to choose. Let's just say that Witches Abroad is definitely one to read.
A misinterpreted wink leads the anti-Christ off the intended path of destroying the world and leaves him growing up in a little village in England. Anges Nutter's prophesies are as accurate as ever though not very intelligible. The extracts from misprinted bibles are particularly good.
