This is one of the most interesting new science fiction books I'd read in a while. It has two main settings one a few hundred years in the future and one in an alternate 1950s. There's some interesting ideas about technology and people. Won't say much more so I don't spoil it.
A description of the PHP computer language.
A lot of highly technical and expensive jewellery and silversmithing ideas. I'm not this good but it was interesting to see.
A space ship was exiled to the planet Treason many years ago. Countries on the planet have developed their own culture based on special abilities that they have developed. It main character starts a monster and ends up a superhero. I read this for fun every so often.
Looking at the real contents of food you buy in the supermarkets today. This was a bit of a disturbing read. I don't want to be eating some of the things they were talking about. It wasn't just ready meals and chicken nuggets. Some companies have been adulterating the raw ingredients too.
A children's book about the 2nd world war. A teenage boy grows up in Denmark as Germany invades and he becomes part of the resistance. I really enjoyed this book. I was an easy read compared to anything else about the 2nd world war but it still had something to say and a lot I hadn't known about.
A fantasy story of elves, mortals, and stolen babies. It's nice to get a piece of fantasy that fits in one book.
Story dealing with some strange ideas. There's time travel, religion, and technology all wrapped around some people who start living in the middle of the desert. Perhaps more of an interesting than a great book.
Looking at language and how people use it. I enjoyed some of it and not other bits.
I've read a few tales of generation ships gone wrong. On this ship it's gone very wrong and the inhabitants don't really have a clue. I quiet enjoyed.
