Wages Of Fear
This is a initially slow black & white film that is well worth watching for it's gripping second half where two trucks filled with unstable nitro-glycerin have to be driven through miles of tortuous terrain.

Downard to the Earth, Robert SilverbergA story of the human ex-governor of Belzagor revisiting a planet which has now been returned to the natives. He goes on an exploration of his past and the primitive order that has returned to the planet.
This was a re-read. I remembered the plot twist from last time but enjoyed the book again. Silverberg is trying to say some things about humanity and primitive society. It's nothing that hasn't been said before though. I don't care though and it goes back on my shelves for the future.
