A book with no people, it's all about sentient dinosaurs. Covers a period in history where religion and science come into conflict. I like this because it explores the social impacts of a different sentient species.

A big book with several parts one of which is in Glasgow. It's a strange combination of fiction, fantasy, and science-fiction. I liked the parts set in Glasgow, they followed a boy becoming an artist. Some of the rest was all right but it got strange towards the end.
