Di Maggios
It was very popular with work colleagues of mine for its peppersauce burger. They had that again and again and again. It was tasty enough the first time but personally I've gotten bored by the general sameness in all their dishes.

The Lord of the RingsBooks versus films can invoke many passions. I think Jackson has done a great job of interpreting the books but don't expect an exact copy. I think the attention to detail here is amazing. Its effects permeate the films and give wonderfully rich quality. What results is a trilogy of good but not great films. For me the best is to be seen in the first film and the worst in the last film. If only he'd do an adaptation of The Hobbit.
The CoreThe premise was stupid, the technology silly, and the action and ending cliched. There are good bad films but this was a bad bad film. Thankfully I have managed to block most of it out. That's two hours of my life that I'll never see again.
PrimerI knew nothing about this film beforehand. Quickly it became apparent that people were experimenting with strange technology but the results were still not apparent. To me it was slightly slow to start and a bit confusing in the end. It's an interesting film and probably requires a second viewing. Try experiencing it with the same lack of information.
Black KnightI have never seen such an awful film before. I resent the time it wasted in my life, even if it was only 15 minutes. I would never have chosen this by myself! It was someone else's fault!
The Hobbit, J. R. R. TolkienMost of you will already be familiar with this book but for those who aren't I highly recommend it. It is, of course, similar to The Lord of the Rings but The Hobbit is a children's book which means you can expect a much easier and faster read. Travel with Bilbo and experience the ups and downs of his adventures, it's great fun.
The Lord of the Rings, J. R. R. TolkienFor me The Lord of the Rings suffers from the common problem of many fantasy novels, lots of pages. Saying that, this is a classic and it's worth making the effort at least once. For an easier read try The Hobbit. If you need to be inspired to read the book then try the film first.
The Iron GiantThis is a very enjoyable children's movie and, of course, it's got a giant robot! A very nice tale of a robot coming to Earth, losing his memory, and being befriended by a small boy. You probably already know the rest of the story. Enjoy the characters and the endless task of hiding a 50 foot tall robot in small town USA.
