The House on the Borderland, William Hope Hodgson
I just listen to an abridged audio adaptation of this story. I've also read the story some time ago. Some friends who've gone to the countryside finishing find a diary in an old ruin. Inside is a strange tale which might be real or might be the ravings of a mad man. It tells of psychic journeys to far off places in the future and the visitation on the present of a race of swine-man. While there are connections between the events a convient explaination is never given.
